Terms of Service
Draft of 25 October 2026
These Terms are an agreement between Kulina Pte. Ltd. (UEN 201530273G), 10 Anson Road, #03-05 International Plaza, Singapore 079903, which operates Postilon ("Postilon", "we") and the business or person who creates a Postilon account ("Customer", "you"). By creating an account or using the service you accept these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Postilon sends transactional email for your applications through a REST API, an SMTP relay (smtp.postilon.com) and a web dashboard (app.postilon.com). It signs mail with your domain's DKIM key, tracks delivery, opens and clicks when you enable them, and reports events by webhook. The service is offered to businesses and professionals, not to consumers for personal use.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to bind the business you sign up for.
- Keep your account details accurate and your password, API keys and SMTP credentials secret. You are responsible for everything done with them, including by members you invite.
- You must confirm your email address, and verify each sending domain by publishing the DNS records we provide, before sending live mail.
- Tell us at security@postilon.com as soon as you suspect a key or account is compromised. You can revoke API keys yourself at any time.
3. Prices, credits and payment
- Postilon is pay-as-you-go: you buy credits in advance and each live email to one recipient uses 1 credit. The current price is USD 4 per 10,000 credits; prices are shown in the dashboard and may change with 30 days' notice for credits not yet bought.
- Top-ups are paid by card through Stripe, from USD 10. If you turn on auto-recharge, you authorise us to charge your saved card the amount you set whenever your balance falls below your threshold.
- New workspaces receive 3,000 free credits when they verify their first sending domain, once per person and once per domain. Free credits have no cash value.
- Credits used for emails that are suppressed or cancelled before sending are returned to your balance. Otherwise credits are non-refundable and non-transferable, except where the law requires a refund. Credits are valid for 90 days from the date they are bought or granted; unused credits then expire. Business customers may agree a longer validity in writing.
- Prices exclude taxes. You pay any taxes that apply to your purchase, except taxes on our income.
4. Limits
To protect deliverability for every customer, the service has limits that we may change: a daily sending limit per workspace (100 recipients per rolling 24 hours for new workspaces, 10,000 after the first paid top-up, or a limit we agree with you), 100 API requests per second, 100 emails per batch request and 10 MB per message. Sends over a limit are refused before any credit is charged.
5. Your responsibilities
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy and the laws that apply to your email, including anti-spam, consumer protection and data protection laws in every country where your recipients are. You decide which emails to send and to whom, and you are responsible for having a lawful basis, including consent where required, for every recipient.
6. Your data and how we process it
- You own the content you send and the data about your recipients ("Customer Data"). You give us the rights we need to store, sign, deliver, track and report on it in order to provide the service.
- For Customer Data we act as your processor. We will: process it only to provide the service and on your documented instructions (including these Terms and your settings); keep it confidential and limit access to staff who need it; protect it as described in the Privacy Policy; use only the subprocessors listed there, giving 30 days' notice of new ones; help you respond to requests from people whose data you send; tell you without undue delay, and within 72 hours, after we become aware of a personal data breach affecting Customer Data; and delete it at the end of the agreement as described in section 9.
- Customer Data is hosted on Google Cloud in the United States (us-east4) and may be accessed by our team in Indonesia. Where the law requires safeguards for these transfers, we rely on the transfer mechanisms described in the Privacy Policy, including standard contractual clauses.
- Our Data Processing Addendum (postilon.com/legal/dpa) sets out these commitments in full and forms part of these Terms.
7. Deliverability and automatic protections
We work to deliver your mail, but mailbox providers decide what reaches the inbox and we cannot guarantee delivery or inbox placement. To protect our sending infrastructure we may automatically pause a workspace's sending when, over 24 hours and at least 100 emails, bounces reach 5% or spam complaints reach 0.3%. Addresses that hard-bounce, complain or unsubscribe are added to your suppression list and are not sent to again.
8. Suspension
We may suspend sending, or your account, without prior notice if you breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if your use threatens the security, reputation or deliverability of the service, or if the law or an authority requires it. We will tell you why and, where it is safe to do so, how to resolve it.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Postilon and delete your workspace at any time from the dashboard. We may end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately for a serious or repeated breach. After deletion we delete Customer Data within 30 days, except copies we must keep by law and backups that expire on their normal cycle of 7 days. Unused paid credits are refunded only if we end the agreement for reasons other than your breach.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available but do not offer a service-level agreement unless we sign one with you. We may change or remove features; we will give 30 days' notice before removing a feature you rely on, unless security or the law requires faster action.
11. Intellectual property
Postilon owns the service, its software and its brand. You may use them only as these Terms allow. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
12. Confidentiality
Each party keeps the other's non-public information confidential and uses it only for this agreement, except where disclosure is required by law.
13. Warranties and liability
- The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.
- Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, except for your payment obligations and your breach of the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Each party's total liability under this agreement is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and USD 100. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them, such as for fraud.
- You will defend and compensate Postilon against third-party claims arising from your content, your recipients' data or your breach of the Acceptable Use Policy.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will email account owners and show a notice in the dashboard at least 30 days before material changes take effect; continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
15. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes that cannot be settled by discussion within 30 days will be resolved by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre in Singapore, in English.
